Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Air4media LLC collects, uses and shares information when you use the X17 Video app on iPhone, iPad and Android.

The short version

1. What is collected

When you use the app, the following may be collected automatically:

• Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, screen size and language, used to render the app correctly.
• Network information — IP address, used by our content delivery network to serve video and by ad partners to limit fraud.
• Advertising identifier — on iPhone and iPad this is Apple's IDFA, shared only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android it is the Google Advertising ID. If you decline tracking, or reset or delete the identifier on your device, it is not shared.
• Search terms — if you use the search box, the words you type are sent to our servers as part of the request address so we can return matching stories. They appear in our server logs, described in section 4. We do not link them to you or build a search history.

2. Advertising

The app shows banner advertising provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). When ads are served, AdMob may receive your advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad only if you allowed tracking), IP address, device type, OS and app version, and approximate city-level location derived from IP. AdMob uses this to deliver, measure and improve ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

If you decline tracking, AdMob serves only non-personalized ads and does not associate activity with your advertising identifier.

Google's privacy policy applies to data collected by AdMob: policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

3. Your choices

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app presents a consent form for ad personalization on first launch, on every platform.

On iPhone and iPad the app also presents Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

On Android there is no separate tracking prompt. You control the advertising identifier in Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset it or delete it entirely. Deleting it stops personalized ads; the app still works, and still shows non-personalized ads.

4. Content delivery

Video, images and story information are delivered from X17 servers. Standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested address, user agent) are retained for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes, then deleted. Because search terms travel in the request address, they are present in these logs for that period. They are not indexed, profiled, or linked to an identity.

5. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

6. Retention and your rights

We do not store user-identifiable profiles. Aggregated, non-identifying usage data may be retained indefinitely. If you have a question about data we may hold, or wish to exercise rights under GDPR or CCPA, contact us using the details below.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be communicated within the app.
